2. Oatmeal Pesarattu

Steel cut oats - 2 cups
broken moong dal with skin - 1 cup
channa dal - 1/2 cup
ginger
garlic
chillies
salt
hing

Wash and soak the dals with oats for 4 hours or longer. Grind coarsely with rest of the ingredients. Heat tawa and spread 1 ladle full of batter and spread some oil around it. Cook it to a crisp, turn over and repeat. Serve hot. I tried it with Maggi's Pudina sauce. Was extrememly yummy. My kids loved it with ketchup.
